At YouCanFreeUs, we work towards spreading awareness about human trafficking with the hope of bringing a better life to victims – past, present and future. Our activities towards advocacy include:
Awareness Campaigns: 5k runs, fashion shows, art exhibitions, brand associations and celebrity endorsements.
Training: Conferences, workshops and seminars.
Educational Tools: LIBERTAS program for schools, communities, corporations and prisons.
Merchandise: Development of products for awareness and revenue.
Public Policy Consulting: Research including quantitative, historical, economic and cultural analysis.
Business Process Consulting: Supply chain transparency, risk analysis and measurement of slavery footprint.
Social Enterprise Management: Businesses as platforms to build sustainable revenue models.
Our rescue efforts begin with strategic alliances with enforcement and other agencies to get information and an understanding of the regional landscape.
The first step is mapping the geographic distribution of modern slavery sources, routes and destinations to narrow down the field of view. We then identify victims of modern slavery and plan and execute rescue operations, extracting victims and transitioning them to one of our safe houses.
The rehabilitation process begins with an initial case assessment, after which victims are provided support and aid including:
Long-Term Care Management: Medical care, counselling and therapy, housing and basic needs.
Legal: Counsel and representation.
Education and Training: Talent Management Strategy (TMS): Identification of unique talents, measurement of current skill sets and matching of opportunities for professional training, life skills training, literacy programs, reintegration into schools, and vocational programs.
Employment: Securing job opportunities for our beneficiaries through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Repatriation: Reintegration with families in countries and cities of origin.
Measurement: Specific sets of key performance indicators to assess the efficiency of the rehabilitation programs.
Reporting: Results to stakeholders including government, partners and investors.
HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE, AND AN IMPACT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST MODERN SLAVERY.
