Parveen is from Karnataka. She was sold into the Red-Light Area as a child by her mother to a brothel owner. Parveen was brought up by the brothel lady and thinks she is her own mother, but her brothel mom always reminded her she isn’t her daughter. Parveen says that her brothel mother used to do black magic in their house and many people used to come to her for their problems. Parveen used to run away from home but every time her mother or brother would bring her back to home. She used to travel in the train from Panvel to CST station and then CST to Panvel whole day. Parveen says she had many friends and they were all street children. She remembers she met a girl in Panvel who asked her to come to her house. Parveen went with her to her house. Parveen was 15 years old at this time. Parveen started staying with her for 2-3 months, she took care of Parveen. Then one day the girl brought three men to sell Parveen. Parveen heard that those men wanted to buy her by giving money to this girl. Parveen was beaten up badly by the men and they raped her. Parveen somehow managed to run away from them at midnight.
Parveen started living with street children and rag pickers. She was living under the Vashi Station bridge in Mumbai. She was living on the street, she was alcoholic, smoking and taking drugs. During this time Parveen fell in love with a guy with whom she got pregnant and he did not support her. That guy was also involved in trafficking and therefore she was sold again by two men in a brothel in Mumbai. Somehow, Parveen again escaped but this time she was caught by Police and put in Children Observation Home. After completing 18 years she was referred to YCFUS along with her baby girl 2 year old.
